It is with great regret that we learnt of the passing of Lionel Régal over the weekend. Lionel Régal was a 5 times French Hillclimb Champion and a European Hillclimb Champion in 2008. He died instantly when his Formula Nippon car hit a tree at a hillclimb in Switzerland. The hillclimb world will mourn the passing of a great driver and a great man. A minutes silence will be held at the next Irish Hillclimb event the MEC hillclimb.
