The Irish Festival of Speed Committee which is involved with Limerick Motor Club in the organisation of the Sprint in Limerick city had a meeting this evening.
Unfortunately this event will not run due to the costs involved.
The time frame for organising the event and arranging finance was short and we are very disappointed that we have to make this announcement as we know that you the competitors were very excited about this format of event.
It was purely a matter of finance as there was great support from the authorities in Limerick and within Motorsport (MI and Hill and Sprint Committee) for which we are most grateful.
