Sad news today I’m afraid. The Irish Motorsport family has lost one of its best members. Denis Hogan Senior sadly passed away suddenly yesterday morning.
To those of us lucky enough to have known him he was a great friend, mentor, role model, gentleman, competitor, organiser and a father figure.
He had competed in motorsport from back in the 60’s all the way up to recently and was planning a trip to CoursedeCote SaintGoueno in france in his Chrysler BRM before he thought about retiring from driving.
His infectious personality and character will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

For those wishing to pay their respects the funeral arrangements are as follows:
Reposing from his home in Barnalick Adare Friday from 5 to 8pm.
Funeral Mass in Adare church at 11am.
Those that wish to form a Guard of Honour after the mass are asked to bring their helmets.
May he rest in peace
Thanks to Billy for the pictures
