In the interests of making Hillclimbing a more affordable sport for Competitors the Hillclimb Committee have been investigating a number of avenues to ease the financial burden on competitors who would like to join hillclimbing for the first time and also competitors who would like to return to hillclimbing.

Following on from the Hillclimb Committee’s meeting with the Technical Advisory Group from Motorsport Ireland earlier in the year we are delighted to announce the following news.

Competitors in Classes 1,2,4,5 and 8 can now chose to use the Older “86” spec suits and gloves in Hillclimbing with the provision that the suit and gloves must be in good condition and free from defects or excessive oil staining.
Underwear is still required for all classes, and all other classes retain the need for a current FIA spec Suit and Gloves.
